Grow Everyone

Reston Presbyterian Church invites anyone seeking a stronger relationship with the Lord to come grow with us.

For additional information about any of the opportunities below, please contact connect@rpcconnected.org.

Sunday School

Children’s Sunday School (age 4 through 5th grade) is teaching the children this year about the armor of God. For more information about our programs for children, please look here.

The two intergenerational classes (i.e., 6th grade thru senior citizen) are as follows:
(1) the book study on “Contending for Our All” by John Piper,
(2) a unified Sunday school class (meets on first Sunday each month only).

“Contending for Our All: Defending Truth and Treasuring Christ in the Lives of Athanasius, John Owen, and J Gresham Machen” by John Piper

Ephesians teaches us about our new identity in Christ. It also teaches us this new identity is going to run up against strong opposition. As a follow-on to the Precepts study of Ephesians, Barbara Tighe is going to be leading a 4-5 part end of the year Sunday school class examining the lives of three men radically changed by the Spirit of God: a bishop, a pastor, and the founder of a seminary. Each of these men have paid a heavy price for the faith that they contended for. So, if you are looking for a short, informative, and impacting class on those who have gone before us as transformed followers of Jesus, this class is for you. The class will meet at Fairfax Christian School.  See the class schedule.

Unified Class (once a month)

The monthly unified class will cover the core values of RPC and prayer. It meets on the first Sunday of each month.

Home Fellowship Groups (HFG)

HFGs are composed of a group of individuals, who meet regularly each month to encourage, challenge, and support each other in their walk with Christ. The current HFGs are as follows:

  • Peckarsky HFG – Todd & Terry, alternate Sundays, 1:15pm, Reston (includes lunch)
  • Rockwell HFG – Steve & Betty, alternate Saturdays, 6:30pm, Vienna/Reston/Annandale
  • Radtke HFG – David & Debbie, 1st & 3rd Saturdays, 5-7pm (potluck), Reston
  • Simpson HFG – Larry & Laurie, 1st & 3rd Tuesdays, 7:30pm, Oak Hill/Herndon
  • CellBlock2030 HFG – Pastor Chris, 2nd & 4th Sundays, 4-6pm, Reston/Herndon (child care provided)

Prayer Meetings

We believe that individual and corporate prayer is one of the most important aspects of the Christian walk. Every RPC ministry and home group devotes some part of their time together for prayer. An additional opportunity for corporate prayer is:

Frontline Prayer Meeting

Frontline meets at the church on Thursday nights from 7:15 to 8:15pm.
