Second Service Poll

RPC has always been recognized as a friendly church. We always want to provide a welcoming atmosphere for worship on Sunday morning. As we get closer and closer to reaching full capacity in our current facility before our new building is completed, we need to make some changes in order to continue to make our visitors feel welcome.

The elders of RPC are giving careful thought and planning to adding a second worship service on Sunday morning. We want your comments and ideas, as well as your commitment to a multiple-service format. Please provide your honest feedback to the questions below. These are the same questions provided in the letter you received in the mail. Your responses will be given careful consideration.

Please tell us your name:

1. Would you and your family commit this one-time to attend an earlier 9:00AM service on Easter Sunday 2008 (assuming that a nursery was available)?

2. Are you supportive of RPC moving towards multiple worship services? How else might you propose handling our current problem of outgrowing a single worship service?

3. If you and your family were to attend a new, earlier worship service, what support ministries would you and your family require in order for you to attend (e.g., nursery, children.s program during the sermon, etc.)?

4. How do you think two worship services would impact your ability to serve the body of Christ on Sunday morning? Would you be interested to serve during a second service if you could still attend a worship service every Sunday, or would the longer timeframe on Sunday morning hinder you from serving as you do today?

5. Assuming that we could provide the supporting ministries that you need at an earlier service, would you and your family be willing to commit to regularly attend an earlier worship service at RPC?

6. Do you have any other comments or feedback about the proposal to move towards a two-worship-service format as soon as we can?
